The lady's name is Vitriol! She's a bombshell -- literally! Her touch is acid, and her temper is worse! Only Iron Man can stop her from killing millions, but he's got no defense against her. As Vitriol's threats escalate to their terrifying potential, a face from Iron Man's past arrives on the scene. Not to help -- but to rip Tony Stark's head off! Tony wakes from a dream of Baghdad being destroyed by Vitriol's chemicals to face an angry Force, who believes Tony ratted out his criminal past to Sonny Burch, who used the information to blackmail Force into restoring Tony's armors at the Edgewood Arsenal. After tricking Force into Burying himself temporarily in rubble, Tony convinces him that Burch learned his true identity from his fingerprints. Force's animosity evaporates, and they pursue Vitriol's convoy. Force destroys all but the main tanker, personally defended by Vitriol. Tony tries unsucceddfully to reason with her, but her tanker drives into the river, releasing its toxic load. Prepared for this eventuality, Tony calls in an air strike, bombing the river with magnesium hydroxide, neutralizing her acid. Tony returns to Baghdad to continue his DoD work, but a call from Stu Conrad causes him to rush back to the USA.
